This course provides an introduction to choosing words correctly. Words are the brickwork of writing, the basic elements that convey meaning, but choosing the right words can be confusing and frustrating. Here you will learn more about synonyms, antonyms, homophones and homonyms, and inappropriate and sensitive language. Understanding the parts of speech will help you form better sentences and will improve your ability to communicate effectively. The course should take you approximately 27 hours to complete. Please complete the course by Wednesday, August 1, 2007.
