This course is designed for the General Education student and is
intended to meet the requirements for world history instruction
established at most colleges and universities including the UC and
CSU systems. It traces the economic, political, social and
cultural evolution of civilizations in Asia, the Near East,
Europe, Africa and the Americas from Antiquity to 1500CE.
