AGENCY REPORT (2-4 pages) - 80 Possible Points
| Option A | Write a report (2-4 pages) about an agency you visited. Local agencies you might visit include: daycare, elder care, counseling centers, family support centers, domestic violence centers, substance abuse rehabilitation programs (AA), group homes, recreation centers, developmental disabilities programs. Include description of agency's service and target population (see Mehr textbook ch. 1), cultural competence skills needed to provide effective service (see Hogan-Garcia textbook ch. 4 & 5); and your personal reflections on the agency you visited (give at least three reasons as to why you would/would not work there). |
| Option B | Write a report on a Human Services website, describing the services offered and target population (see Mehr textbook ch. 1), cultural competence skills needed to provide effective service (see Hogan-Garcia textbook ch. 4 & 5); and your personal reflections on the website you visited (give at least three favorable/unfavorable impressions of the site you visited). Any of the websites at the end of the online lessons are suitable for option B. |
The papers should be typed and double spaced and 2-4 pages in length. As you complete each assignment, you can check your grade online.
