Introduction to Gerontology Telecourse |
After reading this chapter, students should be able to:
- Know the major social theories of aging.
- Describe the variety of ideas as to the optimal way for older people to relate to their
environment.
- Describe some important factors related to aging or age-related issues that serve as
a guide for further inquiry and possible intervention in the aging process.
- Explain the different ways to view and explain the phenomenon of aging.
